Company's Redundancy Promise

Hi All,
The company I work for made the dreaded redundancy announcement on Thursday, however they did promise that they would try to find work for all those who are made redundant. How serious can such a promise be, with the exception of putting people in touch with employment agencies I can't see what else they could do.

Could be a variety of things CV writing workshops, access to computers and phones etc to search for jobs and apply for them or even employment elsewhere in organisation.0
