Doors for integrated fridges

Options
Neff Series 3 K5624X7 Been looking at this fridge because its the only one tall enough , sold in a physical shop , and narrow enough for the space I have. Been told (on here) that integrated fridge will work as a free standing one, but look awful --principally I suppose because of the exposed hinges top and bottom.

So, if its designed to take an extra door on the front of it to match ones kitchen , would that look ok if I just bought such a door ? Kitchen is plain white , so wouldnt have thought a problem? But--- how do I go about getting one in the right size?

You need to go to Howdens or Magnet trade. Take the measurements with you and they will supply you with one.

  • Ah, thanks for that. You reckon it could look ok -pretty much like a free standing one if that was done? Having trouble imagining it as havent had time to go see one in the flesh in Currys yet.

    Fully integrated or Semi ???

Full height door is 715mm x 600mm Quoted sizes may vary by 3mm. Some quote the gap width 600 and some quote 597 giving a 3mm gap.

    Mostly likely identical sizes.

So a full door is 715x600

But a semi integrated with a control panel would be 560 - 600 usually.

    Mostly dishwashers etc.

Are you saying you want to use Neff K5624 as a freestaing fridge but put a door on it to make it appear integrated? If so, it wont work.

This model is 874mm high and design to work only inside a 880-890 niche with a door on it. Freestanding, its got to legs, no body and I suspect with the weight of door on it, will simply tip over.

Thank you' forget my name' and 'ryder' .. Tssst , the door width/height thing sounds problematic . Have only got online tech details of the fridge to go on at the mo, so need to have a physical look. Yes I need to put a fridge on top of a kitchen work surface as my OH is unable to bend . 84cm height fridges are not spacious enough , so I need something about 120cm tall . The available width and depth are 55cm at best, so all the suitably sized larder fridges Ive seen, are all the integrated type . I wouldnt have a clue whether its semi or fully integrated - whats the essential difference?
Doesnt sound from your comment Ryder that an integrated one would be any use to me. The idea of adding a door, was purely cosmetic to hide the big metal external hinges top and bottom. Plan B on that issue, was to look at the possibility of spraying the hinges white to make a slight improvement. Still if these integrated dont have proper feet to stand on and are depend on being 'installed' in a unit for their stability, I think I need to go back to the drawing board. Was just trying to avoid having to lose several wall and base units to make space for a tall enough fridge which would be wider and deeper.
