Buyer not paid

Buyer won auction at price of £9.99, sent an invoice a week ago and still no payment. Now to be honest i'm not desperate for the money, and I am a bit wary of pushing the buyer. As ebay is so biased towards buyers, I could see some spiteful feedback and DSRs coming my way.

My question is, if I leave it, and the buyer doesn't pay, will ebay eventually step in or will it just sit there in limbo forever?

In Limbo - but not for ever lol. Item will disapear from you screen in 2 months.

Ebay are not too bad at removing spiteful feedback after an INR is filed.

Just send a total - i do after 4-7 days and file a NPB after 8-10 days. No messages required.

If you don't file one, or cancel the sale - you have wasted £1 in charges and allowed the buyer to do it again.

Do what you are happy with though - its totally your choice. Maybe switch on the NPB assistant for next time.
  • I have opened dozens of NPB and still have 100% feedback and no low DSR - I generally send a reminder on day 4 and open a NPB 24 hours later if payment is still not received.
  • So basically send a message and if no reply open a dispute? Seems Ok, but what happens if buyer pays, then negs? To be honest I don't understand why someone would bid, then not pay. It just seems so pointles. Are they hoping that I will post, and give them it for free?
  • You could send a message along the lines of 'would you still like to go ahead with this purchase or would you rather cancel so that I can re-list' and give them 24 hours to reply.

I honestly don't know why people don't go ahead and either pay or cancel, it only takes a moment to send a message!

Mostly my non payers are 0 feedback or very low feedback, but I have had some with loads of feedback as well.
