I'm not sure this is the right place for this query?
My mum and dad have had their hotpoint fridge and freezers for 15 years and for the whole time have had it insured with warrenty direct, they recently started acting up (the fridge and freezer not my mum and dad!) and warrenty direct sent a hotpoint serviceman to take a look - he said they needed replacing and wrote down the model numbers of the ones they would be sending - he told them that there would be 10mm bigger which would have been ok but when they turned up the were 49mm bigger each! and don't fit in the space where the old ones were - My dad rang them up and they said it was his fault and he would either have to keep those or pay £40 for the right size ones - they were very rude to my dad and said he'd not read his policy (policy dosent say anything about checking sizes) and they said it was up to him to go away and check the model numbers would fit????
this was the hotpoint man. What should he do???
