I'm a great m'ser (or miser), extreme couponing, getting reduced food at the end of the day, finding bargains at carboots, charity shops etc. but I can be disorganised and lose unnecessary money.
So far, this year, I've lost;
£60 parking fine - I contested this, got refused and then forgot to pay within the time limit and had to pay full price
£45 wrongly bought ink cartridges, lost receipt and now can't return
£35 correctly bought ink cartridges, lost receipt and now can't claim through work expenses
£8 library fees, so far...
£75 for a new windscreen when it should have only cost me £10 when there was just a small chip
couple of years ago spent £100's on a slimming club to lose 3 stone and...you've guessed it....put it all back on. I can't bear to think any further back as we're getting into lost opportunities when I could have made £1000's, but I'm sure there's many of us who wish we could go back in time and done things differently. Hindsight is a wonderful thing!
Anyone else want to share??

£30 parking fine, valentine present i bought and wish i hadnt thankfully only £5. Ex said hed pay me back for things i bought in shopping but never did (when i was with him) again only £10 but thats not the point. Ex also took something out of my home without asking and didnt bring it back and along with some clothes of mine i left at his home, he said he had binned all my things out of spite i think. Again ive had to replace these items so its money wasted. Approximately £45!!0

Thanks for the replies. Glad to know I'm not alone, although, to be fair to IDFMe, it wasn't your fault that you had to pay out due to your ex's actions.
When I paid the library fines, I can only presume I was so annoyed that I forgot to renew the other two books I still had on loan. And, yes!! another library fine!Saving money right, left and centre0 -

I bought a linen blouse from M and S , 5 yrs ago, it took me so long to return it that it had gone down to £1 in the sale, so I kept it. to this day never worn it. Same with a linen blouse this summer, I paid full £27 , left it in the car boot all summer, then couldnt return for full refund. Same with Tesco swimsuit.. see a pattern??0
