Ikea Charges

Hi, has anybody attempted to recover unfair charges from Ikea Home card. They have racked up £300 in charges in the last year - for various things such as 'broken promise fee', 'overlimit fee' etc etc despite me attempting to come to an arrangement with them. i want to try and reclaim these charges against my account. if anyone has attempted - please would you let me know how you got on. if there is already a post dealing with ikea - i would appreciate a point in the right direction.
thank you

I would also like this as they charged me what amounted to double what I owed them. Think I owed about £25 and they charged me about £50!!!!The victims we know so well

I received a letter from Ikea on Friday after sending it by recorded delivery on Wednesday!!!!Unbelieveable. They are offering 50% of charges including interest to be credited to my account provided that it stays confidential between the two parties(hmmm - not very confidential plastering it across here!!!OH WELL!!!) should i accept this or go back with a counteroffer to them? also i can see them continuing to apply further charges to my account as i am awaiting a agreement from them to me making a token paymnet at the moment and so my account is in arrears. there is no point in me claiming these charges back if they are going to continue to apply further charges. please help. thank you vicbee0

Hi - i recently posted a message about Ikea charges and the fact that i had heard back from them straight away offering me 50% of the charges to be refunded to my account together with interest. I do not know what to do and unfortunately no one has replied to my post.
could someone advise me please as i need to respond in the next few days. should i accept or fight them? the total charges were around £400. i also need to know what to say to them because my account is in arrears at moment (just received default notice even though i am trying arrange a payment plan with them - but of course they will just say it is their standard letters that the computer spits out and no one has anything to do with that do they?) and i know they will continue to add charges to my account - which defeats the object really!!!
thank you to whoever replies!!0 -
I'd accept it, if your account is in arrears, it sounds like you need it!0
