Might be a bit naieve
Made 2 purchases via Quidco
£30 disc on my car insurance from Churchill - after about 6 months i asked what was happening with it (I dont know/understand the process to be honest) - got a reply which in substance said whatever happens will happen (no guidance at all)
now 9 months on it now says "Declined" (Perfectly legitimate purchase and totally subject to the discount terms)
£6 discount on my first purchase with ISME, which now says "claim closed" (legitimate purchase and totally within terms of the discount)
I dont really get this stuff - but haven't seen anything paid to me
Bottom line is after spending hours trying to save couple quid they more or less told me to get stuffed
Just about to renew my house insurance with Sainsbury - Quidco say
£80
EXCLUSIVE RATE
for a successful combined home insurance policy
I'm thinking yeaaah right!!!!
shall I bother?
as anyone ever been paid from Quidco?
Do I have to claim money back or should it just arrive (Did ask Quidco that but the advisor did not /could not answer that question)

When will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?

Hoping this might reassure you - I took out a sainsburys pet insurance policy last year with a £70 exclusive cashback. It did take around 8 months to pay out but I did get it.
Overall I have found Quidco to be great. Ive probably had around £800 or so over last few years and had few problems. Quidco will also ring you if you request a call back.
Three and Orange I have found to be superquick payers.
I think you've just been very unlucky OP, and dont dismiss Sainsburys cos they will pay out. Just make sure you delete all cookies etc and only visit the retailer through the quidco link as this can mess it up sometimes.Love, through the trees, past the sky, beyond the northern lights; and I won't let go. I've had loads of payouts from Quidco over the last 6 months or so. Approx £250 in this time.
There is danger with some site that your cashback wont work, I have had 1 that was declined when I know I did everything I was meant to, and I have raised claims on a couple of others, some have been sucessful and paid out others I am still waiting for. It is a long process and you have to make sure that you put your claim in at the right time or you could miss out.
I did get insurance through it and can't remember if it paid out, it may still be pending, not sure.
I think it's worth it for places that you would normally shop online at anyway and sometimes to search for a new online place that sells what you are looking for, but always check elsewhere in case there are other offers that make it cheaper.0 -
Is this worth the paper its written on?
http://www.quidco.com/sainsbury-s-bank-home-insurance/?ac
It does say
"£80
EXCLUSIVE RATE
for a successful combined home insurance policy"
I do want to take out a "combined home insurance policy" with Sainsbury
i dont see any clauses "must be purchased on Tues at 3:40 am" - but i am a bit naive at this sort of stuff
Is there anyway (some sort of process) to evidence it is being tracked by Quidco or can Quidco deny all knowledge after I've made the purchase? When will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0 -
I've had a fair bit from Quidco over the years and have experienced very few problems. I have had a couple of transactions declined but most go through with no issues at all. So yes, they definitely do pay out and I'd have no hesitations in reccomending them to anyone.
Unfortunately there is no real way of 'proving' that a transaction tracks properly. But as others have said there are things you can do to help ensure it does work. Quidco tracks using cookies so I always make sure i delete any cookies and temporary internet files before attempting to make a purchase through Quidco. There is a host of useful info in their support section entitled 'Best practices' to help you make sure your transactions track properly. And if something doesn't track or is declined, there is an appeal process you can go through.0 -
I've been a Quidco member for a number of years (2007) and have so far been paid £2646.43 and have approx £300 currently between Tracked and Confirmed.
I have had very few failures and also have been paid out a couple of hundred pounds for purchases which were either cancelled or returned, so there is an upside as well!British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
It can take a while but I always seem to get it in the end.
£400+ over the last three years.0 -

I use it all the time & have had quite a lot (prob around £200) back so far:)
Some companies take forever to pay and some pay really quickly - but I've eventually had it all.
I have had to raise a couple of claims but these have always been resolved & paid.
Re tracking - do you use the Quidco toolbar? When you purchase something from a retailer that uses QC, make sure you've clicked on the "click here & continue to get cashback" button & that it says confirms that the cashback is being tracked - you should also get a confirmation email after you've made your purchase ETA I always keep these until the cashback has been paid in case I need to raise a claim.
Re the home insurance you're asking about - note the T&C which states "There is an extended 4-6 month validation period from policy start date, after which Sainsbury's Bank will ensure the policy is active and that all payments due to them have been received. On meeting Sainsbury's Bank criteria, tracked purchases will be confirmed."
You will therefore have to wait (in all probability) over 6 months to get this paid.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

I've had over 1K in the last 3 or 4 years but I've also had quite a few transactions that have been declined. Quidco will not fight your case if your trasaction is declined, they will just fob you off with cut n paste replies.
Bottom line, as with all cashback, see it as a bonus and don't let it prompt you to buy just for the sake of a dangled bonus that may never pay out. Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!0 -
ive had a few problems with them lately so im using topcashback more and more at least i can convert my money into amazon vouchers next christmas. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Quidco just fobbed me off and closed a case because they couldn't be bothered to respond to my question for confirmation about a transaction reference number for something that magically didn't track.
They've now moved down my list of preferred cashback sites and I'll be making major purchases via other ones in future.
I'll still keep little ones going via them though.0
