I previously had a bmw bought in 2003 and the sale included PPI which i believe i was mis-sold. I wrote to BMW to reclaim my PPI and received a reply saying that I cannot claim as they wasnt regulated by the FSA when so.d it. What do i do now? Has anyone else had any luck with them?

I suggest you chalk it up to experience. If they weren't regulated, they can legitimately refuse your complaint.
You could complain to the insurance underwriter, but they will probably refer you back to BMWNon me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
What makes you think it was miss sold.
And more to the point, can you prove it.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

I suggest you must visit some PPI claim company. Since your car was not regulated by FSA, then you’ll need to demand a ‘deadlock letter’, which you can then use to take your case to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS).
You dont get access to the FOS unless the firm was FSA regulated or a predecessor body that allows you access to the FOS. Most dealers did not become regulated until January 2005. So, that eliminates the FOS option. It basically makes it game over for complaining in most cases.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
