Significant increase in car insurance quotes

Hi, I'm really quite confused.
I passed my driving test last month and started doing some insurance quotes to see what car was most affordable to insure.
2 weeks ago I done a quote for a Peugeot 107 and cheapest I got over all the comparison sites was about £750. Doing some quotes today on different cars, I was surprised by how much more expensive they were.
So as a test, I done a quote on the same Peugeot 107 from 2 weeks ago and I'm now being quoted over £1,200 for insurance!
What is going on? I don't understand how there can be such a huge increase in just 2 weeks!!

prices and risks change daily speeking from years of buying car insurance its nuts.
best thing to do in the future is save all qoutes that you do so if this happens you will still be able to go back to your saved qoute and buy the cheapest. Most quotes save for around 30 days and it could be the same insurer with different prices go for the cheapest saved.0 -
What tends to happen is that the closer you are to the insurance renewal date the higher the price gets. So you should always save all the multiple quotes you enter.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

Some insurers have also already priced in gender neutral prices. So, you may be seeing some movement there.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). I would agree with dunston, particularly if the quote is guaranteed beyond 21 December.

Gender neutral pricing comes in being a female driver under 30 you are likely to be most affected.0
