Yes people are smelling the coffee and realising they have been sold something that is not suited for there needs.
Funny how everyone only says that when they haven't had the cause to claim on it.
Presumably if one of you had died/had a crappy critical illness, you'd be thanking the advisor rather than whining and moaning on here about 'mis-sold' BS.0 -
The judgement was passed on the ability to complain applying modern selling rules. PPI itself has never been passed judgement on. So basically saying that newbie1980's thoughts on the subject of opportunism are "not an issue" is completely inaccurate...your thoughts on this are not an issue as it has been argued in the highest of courts and a judgement has been past.
As many as 50% of "complaints" received by Banks are reported to be from people who never even had PPI.
I'm afraid on a public forum you aren't entitled to prohibit the views of anyone else who wishes to post.People like you need to keep your thoughts to yourself! Had I wanted your thoughts I would have posted differently!
If you don't want to hear the views of others, you can either ignore opinions which don't match yours or cease posting.0 -
No I do not think that at all. As stated in the reply to dunstonh I thought they get there fee from the providers of the mortgage and from the Insurers.
Precisely - you expected them to get a fee from the lender and insurer. You also acknowledge that you were given the option to pay the adviser a fee for his services instead.
PPI for a mortgage is generally good advice.
I do not see any evidence of a missale - only the prospect of a miscomplaint.0
