Reviving decking

WE have some decking outside that we got when we bought house, last Feb. I want to briliant it up, looks like it was green until colour faded.

I look in Wilkos for decking and come across the stuff you brush on, the spray and also roller, Cupinol, Ronseal and Wilkos own brands. However I couldnt find a green colour which we wish to have which would also blend in with our green bench.

I also seen decking revivor, decking oil and some anti skid treatments. Whats best to use, the wood isnt bad condition just hadrly any colour now.

Thanks

I spent the easter doing my decking. It wasnt that dirty and am on a water meter so didnt want to use a pressure sprayer. Got a bucket of water and a scrubbing brush and bought some decking cleaner from b and q although i used it a a much less dilution rate than recommended. This took a couple of hours. when it had completely dried the next day I used a cuprinol (i think) decking protect. The one I used had a slight colour to it and there are various colours to it .nOt sure about green but am sure there are some out there. after it had dried it looked wonderful again! i am going to try to do it every year

I was just going to stain it or put some oil on it which ever is best and can colour it.

I went to b&q last night saw some green stain but I aint paying there prices, might have to go back to Wilkos

First thing is to get a stiff brush with some diluted bleach and go over the whole deck. That will get rid off any organics, i.e. moss etc. Then when its dry give it a going over with decking oil and that will restore it.

    Hi

I am about to buy some stain for my decking. There is a trade paint place a few miles away, (https://www.orionpaints.co.uk) Now the website is not up to much, I phoned them to enquire if they have any decking stain in, they have Cuprinol or Ronseal brown stains (2.5 litres) for £12.50, but the green and blue ones are £2.00 for a tray.

On the website all colours are priced at £8.50. but delivery is £10.00 (must make up for the difference here?) I don't know where you are located, but if you are near to Knowsley Industrial Park, you could have yourself a little bargain here if you can go in person and collect 2.5 litres for £2.00!

Sorry if you are not nearby and I have built your hopes up!
