this a quick question that's probably been asked before.i'm currently shopping round for car insurance quotes,i've got 12 years no claims bonus with my current insurer and the majority of companies i've been getting quotes from tell me they can only protect 9 years of these.is it possible to be able to protect all 12 years ncb when moving insurer?and i have had a good dozen quotes.

Although you protect your NCB, irrespective of how many years you have once you lose all your claim "lives" allowed by the protection your next claim results in the loss of 2 years from the insurers maximum (usually 5), not your own record.
Check the policy wording to see exactly what happens when you lose your "lives".0 -
As above some still only count upto 5 years and anything over is meaningless to them.
When the renewal letter comes through does it say 12 years? Mine seems to have stopped at 9. Despite no claims for closer to 20.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
