They have been around for ages,and are used by numerous letting agents etc see http://www.hallmarkcorporate.co.uk/ and all that sse is ,is their preffered supplier.

Just remember, they cannot do anything that means putting you in any contract with the supplier other than the Deemed one you are already in from the start of your tenancy agreement. This means you are going to be on standard rates.

Legally, you are the customer to the supplier and they will not have anything to do with landlords or such agencies once the account is in your name.

They can't prevent you from switching away either as your tenancy agreement has made you liable.

Be very wary of them, they cause issues with occupation dates and readings. Take your own readings and make sure your account is set up correctly from the correct start date & readings.

I would be very wary of any of these companies who work with one supplier. That means kickbacks for potentially non competitive tariffs.
