Setup help for Canon MG5320 wireless printer

Options
Have bought a new printer and have it is showing as connected to our wireless router.
Using laptop via same router, I am using the installation CD to set up software on my printer.
Go through all the stages and then a window appears at the end, informing me that it is unable to detect the printer.
Have looked on Youtube and am now at my wits end.
We have a home computer upstairs and that was connected successfully for two days, but printer no longer responds.

Please help a distressed damsel:eek:

The usual way to set up a wireless printer is to temporarily connect it to each PC/laptop via USB cable to run the setup routine.

The main reason wireless printers become 'unavailable' after being used successfully for some time is the printer's IP address changes. This can be solved by either using a fixed IP address or reserving the IP in the router's admin pages.

There may also be a utility supplied to re-establish the connection. Check in the Start > All Programs menu
