Thats quite a statement
so everyones doing it,so its fine?
So your speed awareness course has taught you everyone does it,even in basic cars
so its all good
Hardly its a reply to your self righteous views, you do it so does everyone else at one point or another intentionally or not. The only difference those people got done, many for the first time after several decades and in excess of a million miles, tell me thats not good.0 -

Mr perfect and self righteous, care to tell us how many accidents and points you have ever accumulated?
Staying with the speed limit is only part of being a good driver.
Sounds like you also work for an insurer.
Fair enough Custardy that was one of many things put to us on the course.0 -
Speeding is the main cause of a crash in a tiny proportion of cases. Its usually a combination of factors with carelessness or failing to look properly before moving out of a junction. Of course speed does increase the severity of an accident. And there's speeding and SPEEDING.
I think the SACs sound like a good idea, and most drivers could do with some sort of refresher every so often that makes them stop and think about how safe they are. Let's face it, a lot of mobile speed vans take the p**s.. sunny, dry, empty dual carriageway in the countryside, early weekend, you've just gone from no restriction to something arbitrary like 50 and Oh look, just around the corner hiding under a bridge is the speed van! I hate proper speeders.. the 40 in a 30 crowd, the 90+ on the motorway goons.. but c'mon, you can't make sweeping statements about those attending SACs.
I'm with Admiral at the moment as they quoted very low, but I've already had about half an hour of my life wasted on the phone to them as they try to up-sell. They catch you out by making it sound like the call is something to do with your policy, and then the sales speil starts.... and it won't stop for 15 minutes. So I wasnt surprised to hear the news. I'll not be renewing with them next time!0
