Hi Doseduk. It takes a lot of courage and strength to admit all that you did on an open forum, so well done.
It's easy to say, take one step at a time when some days are often very difficult. I can't give you any advice on your circumstances but I do wish you all the very best!
Keep in touch with everyone on your thread and let us know how your face to face interview goes. I hope it goes well for you.0 -
thank you.. i appreciate in the interest of decency, sometimes things should be treat reservedly when dealing on a public forum (by which I mean both forums like this, and just public talking spaces in general..) - just on the grounds sometimes people can be overloaded with personal stuff that they might not want to be burdoned with..
but, at the same time, I try to be as open as I can... it helps combat denial problems, and also I suppose other people's takes on it are likely to be mixed between mutual understanding, discomfort or founded judgements be they negative or positive, and indeed, sadly, stigma - that is unjust assumptions and so on built from things I've possibly said.
As regards mental health and drug addiction (including alcohol and cigarettes) - I think where possible people should be open... I appreciate sometimes this might pose threats towards employment, or relationships even, and so that is when it really is up to the individual, but the more openly people discuss these things, which are in all respects, medical issues more than anything else... the less stigmatised, hidden and misunderstood the issues will be in the future. and this is being cynical of course, I'm sure most people would be interested to learn more and appreciate being trusted with such information
At the same time, without seeming overly-sincere, obviously once you tell people, and say, get the brilliant supportive response I have from yourself and everybody else, without fail in fact (usually there would be at least the odd trolls in other public forums!) - it obviously helps me a lot, means people can offer the most bespoke, helpful responses and, so it isn't without its selfishness..
Thank you for your support, I will be sure to contribute my experience with the second interview here in due course

Its depressing, and I only wish THESE COMPANIES were banned from GIVING the loans to bankrupts.. I understand the issues with how to implement that, and whether heavy handed governance of industry like that, even if it is scummy extortionate, irresponsible payday lenders (of which I genuinely don't consider Wonga to be one, may I add... their interest rates are if anything realistic for the product, and they were admirably, not that I saw it as that at the time, the first company of their kind to start declining my desperate applications for loans, so, good for them I guess.. Still unsavoury but, angelic compared to some of the PDL market..)
X
i can think of other PDLs that are half wonga's apr, keep our chin up!:money: IT Geek & Martin Wannabee :money:0
