Hi, I'm not sure which to go for, a smart TV or a standard one and a Youview box?
Does smart tv pause/rewind etc? Also is the catch up the same as is available via laptop (sorry if that sounds daft) as some programmes only stay active for a limited time?
I know Youview can't access youtube which is disappointing, can it be converted to wireless?
Any advice gratefully accepted.
Many thanks

Buy a YouView box.
Smart TV manufacturers don't update their products.
Smart TVs don't have built in PVRs.
You can use homeplugs with a YouView box. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Can I ask what homeplugs are? Also can it be made wireless?

My Sony smart TV has had several software updates in the year I've had it. It also has PVR functionality, although you do have to plug in a USB drive to record onto.0 -
Hopefully an exception, however in my experience as son as a TV manufacturer brings out their new range the updates dry up. Certainly applies to Samsung. That gum you like is coming back in style.0
