Hi all
My nan is losing her sight, and has been experimenting with various magnifying devices to help her read her mail etc, but it's getting to the stage where none are helping.
Is there such a device that you can move over words that reads the words out loud for you?
It would need to be quite basic as she is not at all technological. I was thinking something similar to those pen dictaphones that store what you write.
Thanks in advance

i have a camera magnifyer that plugs into the television. i got it from my social worker.
try contacting social services and asking for an adult assessment0 -
Mum had an assessment at the eye department of the hospital and they provided her with several gadgets.
Also worth looking at the shop here - https://www.rnib.org.uk/shop/Pages/home.aspx0 -
Thank you both.
My nan doesn't have a tv so a tv one wouldn't work. I don't think she has a SW, but will see if she has someone we can ask. She is very independant, and doesn't really need much help. But it annoys her that she can't read her own mail without help.* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *
