Hi there
I am thinking about buying a tablet, I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 that I love and am considering the Samsung Galaxy Note 16GB 10.1 inch ~ £318 in Tesco at the moment I like the size I wouldn't really want smaller than this ?
Is this rated as a good product, it seems to have good reviews. I will use it mainly for eMail, web browsing, Facebook, Music player.
I assume I just hook it up through WiFi to my exsisting broadband router like I do with my Laptop & Phone ?
I have a 1GB of data in my Orange mobile contract that I never use, if I took the tablet out of the house could I in some way use my phone data to connect it to the web ?
I am not very technical (did you guess
) any advice much appreciated.

Yeh, the Galaxy Note's get good reviews and seem nice from what experience I have with them. Probably the best Android 10" tablet available at the moment!
You'll be able to use Wifi to connect to the internet.
If you have a recent smartphone, you'll be able to use "tethering" to share your internet with the tablet - you're phone basically creates it's own Wifi network which you can just use like any other for the tablet.0 -
I have the Samsung Galaxy Note, bought about 6 months ago. I use it as both a tablet AND my mobile phone. As a tablet it's great. You can either use wifi to connect to the internet via your home hub or via a free wifi access point. Or you can use your data allowance. You can also set it as a wifi hotspot (this uses your data allowance) - great if you want to connect another device whilst out and about. I don't have broadband at home so it is effectively my internet hub. Thankfully I have unlimited data. The screen is big enough to be able to read clearly. It's great to watch TV on.
As a mobile phone it's a bit of a pain as it's so big. It doesn't fit many pockets so you will need to take a handbag at all times!
Since buying it, I've changed jobs and now work in a Mac environment and have been given an iPad so I do all my surfing on it. My netbook languishes unused in the corner... I will probably switch to an iPhone at some point soon as everything syncs then, but I will miss my Note.0 -
