What date is winter fuel payment given?

Iwas going to put this on over 50,s board..but I thinx they are all dead in there as hardly anybody hasput anything on board recently?.Urgently need to pay a bill and am pinning my hopes on £200 payment coming soon.Would be helpful if anyone new exact date it is paid?

No exact date. Sometime between now and mid December.

Im still alive and kicking. Last years payment was credited to my bank account on the 24 November.

Apparently some people have had it already. Mine arrived last year on 27th November.

Hopefully they will pay it a day early on Friday 23rd ,being a weekend ,as I need the dosh by then

This is true, my mum received her payment on 12th November.

She received a letter first so that will be the first sign.

Just because one poster received it last year on a certain date won't necessarily mean that yours will be paid on the same date.

We are very pleased to receive our WFP as it pays for our coal for the winter. However nothing irritates me more when you get SOME ONLY pensioners saying we buy our grandchildren their christmas presents with this money.

If the government do not think we need it then for sure it will be taken away.

I believe, the exact pay-date depends on your National Insurance Number
(maybe the last digit).

Apart from the very first payment, which appeared somewhat randomly on a Wednesday, all the other five subsequent payments arrived on the second Monday of November. Just like it did this year, I received my payment last Monday.

The owner of the business I work for uses his to help pay for flights to the Carribean in December.

After all, he says, it is Winter and he does use it to buy (aircraft) fuel.
