Home emergency cover within home insurance

Do you think it's worth paying the extra for this? Seems like there's lots of small print to get out of things.

Lots of people have this and many have claimed on it.
The one that your home insurance offers may have smaller claims limits and more exclusions than that offered by a specialist but may be cheaper.
Check the exclusions - age of boiler, proof of servicing, unoccupancy of home, claims limits, partial or complete breakdown of services, internal or external pipework covered, temporary / permanent repairs, etc.
If you want this type of cover and the one on your home insurance is too restrictive you can surely shop around to find one suitable for you.0
