    Yes, now they are expensive! I know all the supermarkets stock them but when I go to buy them they are always out of stock. It's like there is a world shortage of muffin cases!

    Weird! You must have some avid bakers in your area as I never have trouble getting them in the supermarket! Hope you manage to find some...
  • Home Bargains usually have a good variety of cake/muffin cases, including large oblong cases, the type that you might use for a cake in a loaf ton. Hope that makes sense. They also have fancy ones for special cup cakes. All are usually well under £1.

    You could try making your own from baking paper. Cut 5-inch squares of baking paper and press them into muffin tins. It helps you you have a glass or jam jar a similar size as the muffin tin to push the paper in.

    Look in the SMs. I got halloween printed ones for about 20p per 100. Kids dont care what's on the outside.

    i buy mine from home bargains, and the fancy pointy ones i make myself using baking parchment - i was going to buy them but nearly fainted at the cost of them so just set to and made a load
