Can anyone tell me where I can get decent but cheap muffin cases? I got a job lot when our local Somerfields changed to Morrisons. I have now come to the end of these and am having real trouble tracking down any muffin cases at all, let alone cheap. I found some at Dunelmill but was horrified at the price £7.99 for 100! That's way too much in my opinion. Or is it?

Poundland sell them, they are a fraction smaller than some of the more expensive ones but do the job fine.
And what £7.99 for 100??? Madness.
Does anyone use the silicone ones? Are the worth the investment?0 -
Yes £7.99 for 100!
I have thought about the silicon ones too, but need someone to recommend them, and tell us where the got them from.0 -
Dr. Oetker does the larger muffin cases if you mean that size. 75 per pack, about £1-1.50 so no where near as expensive as £8 per 100! Tesco and Sainsburys have always stocked them when I've needed them.0

If you wanted to splurge...
£13.80 for 900 cases. Save a little more with the subscribe and save feature (I've heard you can just cancel after your first order anyway)

I get mine in Wilkinsons 100 are 76p. I bought the silicon ones as I often pack cupcakes for kids lunch boxes and thought this would save in the long run. I made carrot cake muffins in them and the silicon all went orangey and look horrid so havent used them since - waste of money in my opinion. Paper ones I know get thrown away but so will these silicons one when I can talk myself into binning them.0

Are these the type you mean, OP.? I thought you must mean actual muffin cases width like folded pointy bits, as the type posted above are available cheaply in supermarkets?0 -
Yes, thems the ones! Or actually any ones, ordinary, pointy, silicon, it doesn't matter just as long as they are not £7.99 for 100!0

Our Morrisons and Co-Op both sell them and I have seen them in Asda Tescos Wilkos and most pound shops as well.

Yes, now they are expensive! I know all the supermarkets stock them but when I go to buy them they are always out of stock. It's like there is a world shortage of muffin cases!0
