sent SD, attempted del twice but buyer not been in, how long before returned?!?!

I sold my galaxy media player last weekend and they paid straight away and I posted first thing monday after informing the buyer I would be doing so, they replied saying thanks. Delivery was attempted tue and wed but the buyer wasnt in either day, and its now saying awaiting collection. I was just wondering how long before its returned to sender. I have messaged the seller asking if they had collected or rearranged delivery yet but no reply.

retention period is 18 days,then its a case of how sharp the DO is with returns
