Ive just popped onto entitled to - to have a quick gander whether wed be entitled to council tax benefit. Given my savings , its not, but i thought worth a stab.
Now, it looks as if my OH is entitled to tax credits- at 79 a week.
Hes the only one earning at the mo, and he makes 13k gross.
Does this look right?

 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Looks about right to me Lynz, £13k is not an awful lot for a year to support 2, with you not working.
Get him to apply ! You have nothing to lose

If its just the pair of you and your not disaabled, that looks too much tax credits.
When my ex was on £12.500 a year, we were getting a bit more then that with a child.
I am under the impression you would only get a tiny amount on that wage with no children. MAy be wrong though0 -
That does seem a lot .
Dh earns roughly that, we have three children and get around £20 a week in working tax credits. We get child tax credit on top, but you wouldn't get that without children, obviously!
Would be different if one of you has a disability though, as already said.
