Wait until the next threat o gram rolls in, keep on shopping there as normal, take the threat letters with you, then at the checkout just before you pay demand to see the manager over these threats that you are being sent, and if they do not cancel the un solicited letters sent to you by their agent (for who they - ASDa are responsable for) you will walk out now ( leaving your goods behind) and state that you will consider any further letters to be harrasment within the menaing of the protection from harrasment act, for which that ASDA will be jointly liable for. From the Plain Language Commission:

I haven't had a letter yet from the T&C, they will be waiting to see if I pay up first no doubt.
Anyway I have written a letter to post tomorrow, to the CEO and the manager of the store I was at.
I also included the fact that I might have been delayed a little in the store due to having to wait at the Customer service desk for a refund on an item that I was overcharged on from my previous visit. Something that I was charged full price for when the sale price ticket was still showing.
Maybe I should have made more of that at the time!0 -
No need to make an issue of anything you did/didn't do. Insist the Manager gets the ticket cancelled - never known one not get cancelled yet.
The more people complain to the store Manager, the more they will realise what a problem it is. They will then start raising the issue with their Senior Management.
Trust me, the local branch Managers by and large, are unaware of the legal issues. What they don't want is complaints about them being made to Head Office.
The chances of your letter being read by the CEO are bordering on nil - it will get filtered out by others. Hence the store route will get you a better response. Not that you need to worry about anything anyway.0 -

I just mentioned about my being overcharged because I wanted them to know that I had been inconvenienced by a mistake on their part.
Whatever happens I still won't pay the charge, but I will bombard ASDA if and when the letters start to arrive:rotfl:0 -
I appealed 2 weekas ago after parking at Asda Brighton Marina and getting a ticket for not displaying the blue badge in a disabled bay.
It must have fallen off the dashboard - I sent them a letter with a photocopy of the Blue badge and advising of the circumstances - 2 weeks later they sent me a note saying the ticket was cancelled. Good result for the sake of a stamp.....0
