If you're not in a hurry, try writing a concise very polite letter explaining why you're not happy with the preferred supplier. Enclose a quote for the company you would prefer, ask them to agree the higher price or that you would be a happy customer if they split the difference with you.
It may work or it may not, but a well worded polite letter may work in getting a bit more money.0 -
The like for like cover under the policy is to give the same quality not similar, so if you bought the units in shop a, and had vouchers for shop b, but shop b had an inferior quality, then that's not like for like. If you bought in Shop A and Shop B sold the same, but you didn't like shopping at shop b, then the insurers have a case, unless you have a very strong reason for not using the shop, other than personal preference.
