Toshiba tv- help!

Hiya

Hoping someone can help. We have a Toshiba TV, it's just under 2 years old, for the last few weeks you will be watching tv like normal and then the Tv will go black with a message saying 'please scan all channels' when I go into menu it's impossible to select anything as the selection is moving all over the place (like the Remote is being held down even though its not). If you select the input channel back to the tv it works like normal and then does the same thing every 5-10 mins

Anyone know what the problem is? :mad:

First thing I'd try would be removing batteries from remote to eliminate this as the cause.

Hiya thanks for suggesting this, we have done this but it's still happening!
