Fuse in external electrical meter box

This has blown twice in the past year. NPower have been quick to come out and fix but I'm wondering why it's happening. Is it a surge from outside - in which case there is nothing I can do I suppose, but none of the neighbours are affected?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Unlikely to be an electrical surge, fuses operate based on current flow and the fuses used in a cut-out are a high rating and very robust.
One possibility is that you could be over-loading your supply - it's possible that if you've got a 60A cut-out and a lot of electric loads then you could over-load it and operate the fuse.
Have you got an electric shower? Electric heaters/storage heating? Electric cooker/hobs?
What had you got running when the fuse blew?0 -
What's the rating? No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Agree with this.
OP; is there something happening around the time that it's popping (seasonal?)? Something that doesn't happen very often, but at these times? Family staying over, and therefore increasing the electrical demand across the house at once?"Part P" is not, and has never been, an accredited electrical qualification. It is a Building Regulation. No one can be "Part P qualified."
