Bank posturing or not?

Hi all
I am claiming around £2000 from Abbey and have issued my claim in the small claims court, Abbey have today sent an Acknowledgement of Service stating they intend to defend the whole claim.
Is this the bank posturing and playing for a bit more time? or something more serious?
Also is there anything I need to do, or do I just wait until the 28 days from service have passed and if nothing else happens get the court to pass judgement
Many thanks for any help or advise on this matter
Jim

I have three claims on MCOL at present all three have acknowledged with intent to defend. Seems to be the norm at the moment another attempt to scare us offBewitched2761

Watch out - watch out - I spoke to my s-in-law at the weekend who works for the same bank I used to and they are in the process of gathering all the information together to defend a case.
It could be you.............:money:0
