ETF and S&S ISAs

Hi all,
I have a S&S ISA with Sippdeal and have 2 queries that perhaps someone could answer:
- How are the fees paid on an ETF? Are they removed from the divdends?
- Can I transfer shares/funds from one S&S ISA fund to another? Or do I have to sell the shares to transfer?

Hi Robbie,
Do you mean the TER of the ETF or other charges levied by Sippdeal? The TER will be snipped from the overall performance of the fund. You won't even see it, it's like a slow puncture.
Sippdeal charges are likely to be taken from any cash balance you have in your account. At least that's the way it works for me with Alliance Trust.
You can transfer your entire ISA from one broker to another without selling. It's called an in specie transfer or reregistration.0 -

Not necessarily - some won't accept in specie transfers.0 -
There is pressure on platforms to do re-registration but there are issues and currently it is set as an FSA objective to get them to do it but with no timescale set. You tend to find the unbundled platforms are more likely to do it than the bundled ones (generalisation alert as there are exceptions).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
