Vanguard is generally considered to offer the best trackers.
Blackrock Class D trackers are also very good
    HSBC comes behind them.

Hi Dunstonh, I have 2 Blackrock trackers with HL but are class A. I can not find class D trackers on any site I look at. Can you please tell me why these class D ones are better than the class A and also advise on why they seem to be almost impossible to get hold of? Many thanks!

The Class D are the non-commission paying ones which are 0.3% a year cheaper than the class A ones.

If you are looking at commission platforms then you usually only see commission paying funds (with the occasional loss leader). If you are looking at the explictly charged platforms (unbundled) then they will offer the non-commission versions of funds or rebate commissions where they are included in the fund charge.
