    It is relevant, it shows the volume of gas used, which is converted into kwh.
  • Right my son has worked it out,, apparently we must have an imperial meter, so he done the working out. ie. 2.83x.....
    But this doesnt explain why my bill is so much higher.. It should be lower considering the factors..

    Is the better or worse insulated (cavity wall, loft, draught excluders, double glazing, etc)? Is the boiler more or less efficient? Same for the appliances. Does he keep his house warmer or colder than you? Does your son have energy efficient bulbs, turn the TV off at the wall, etc. Do you have more appliances, such as a dishwasher or even a fishtank?

    There are loads of factors which impact on a bill, not just the number of people living in a property. Try looking at the energy efficiency section on house and filling in the energy savers report to see if it gives any clues.
