Why don't we make a concentrated effort my sending a stardard email to pigsback complaining about their sluggish attutude at the moment and how we deserve better treatment for our loyalty to them.

It could yield results if enough of us take part.

DH has a franking machine at work, and I don't think he's aware of any such 'promise' with franked mail ...

The only thing he knows is that once it's franked it's got to get into the letterbox that day.

good luck to anyone trying to get a response from the Royal Mail about missing post: their standard email reads "we deliver lots of letters every day, yours wasn't one of them, tough." They dress it up a bit, but that's what it boils down to. You have to push them again after that to get a book of stamps as compensation.
