Christmas 2012

Today's commercial Christmas is rubbish. It panders to many of the undesirable features of modern life :- rampant materialism, shallow consumerism, wasteful spending for its own sake, excesses of eating and alcohol consumption, preoccupation with "having a laugh" over doing anything intelligent or worthwhile. Unfortunately without it large swathes of the economy would collapse.No-one would remember the Good Samaritan if he'd only had good intentions. He had money as well.
The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money.

C B W dude guy must have been shocked with the Corby result what a surprise!
lol
What makes me laugh with the 'there is no deficit, it's all Thatchers fault' followers is under Labour we would be in exactly the same situation of 'SAVAGE' cuts ummm or is it not that savage after-all?
The leader of Sheffield council was on the local TV the other night over another 650 jobs losses and the interviewer mentioned that 1450 jobs had already gone and there had been no reduction in services. What cracked me up was his reply. "no we have managed to cut without any visible difference, but if we keep cutting it could have an effect"
No waste there then DOH!!!
As for xmas like some other posters mentioned its nice to be off and with the family, spending wise will be the usual, and then there is my 'special' prezzi to ones self a holiday in Jan ahhhhhh0 -

More money than sense! £40 for a pair of trousers..... I bet you spend more than £5 on a shirt too.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -
