My copy of Microsoft office professional has corrupted and I need to reinstall it.
I have the original OEM discs. Unfortunately I have two copies (installed on different computers). Does it matter which copies I use or do I need to use the copy I originaly installed on this PC.
If so how do I determine which disk is the correct one? Is it something to do with the product key.
Thanks

Are they the same versions? If so the discs are identical."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

They are, I was just worried that there might be license implications if I reinstalled using the wrong disks.
I.E if I am asked to register and the disc has already been registeredFiliss0 -

It's not the discs that are registered but the serial key. CDs and DVDs are pressed from a master disc so there is no economical way of manufacturing them to be unique. The serial key will simply follow a particular algorithm that is verified whether it follows that pattern. It doesn't check for that unique serial number, that only happens when you register or activate online where they keep a database of the serial numbers in use. So in summary it's the number that is registered, not the physical disc which will be identical to any other."She is quite the oddball.
