I have arrived home to find a
"CONTRACTUAL PARKING CHARGE NOTICE" from G24 Ltd delivered by my friendly postman for the amount of £95 to be reduced to £55 if paid within 14 days, there are 2 pictures one of my car entering the car park with a picture of my number plate and the time i entered but on the actual very pale black and white picture you cannot make out the time, number plate or even if there is a driver in the car, on the second black & white picture when leaving the car park the time can just be made out .

have been reading through threads and it seems the rule of thumb is to just ignore this letter.

but can i also ask why payment to be made to a PO Box number it this legal ?

Do i get into communication with this company or just ignore all communications from them ?

Best to ignore it altogether. This is not a legal or reasonable charge and all contacting them does is needlessly prolong the efforts to scare payment out of you. Photos have no evedintal meaning whatsoever in private prking.

Payment to a PO box is also against the BPA's code, so it goes even lower than the usual scam fare.

Plenty threads about G24 here and it won't be long before SodG24 will be along to give you his own particular form of advice! :D

They use PO Box numbers because they don't want people to know where they actually are. It may just be this side of legal, but these are shady companies who don't like being open about what they do or why.

If you are, or know, the registered keeper (no need to say on here) then, yes, ignore is by far the easiest way of dealing with this.

Do not contact them at all - they'll only pester you for longer, and they may try and twist anything you tell them in order to try and 'use it against you'.

Sorry, I missed this thread the first time around !

Note my username ;) I've ignored two sets of invoices from them.

Just to you know what a scummy lowlife company they are they broke their contract with Nominet ( the people who control the internet domain names ) by supplying an address with a PO Box number. This was against the contract they entered into. When challenged they provided a false address. It was only when Nominet threatened to take away their domain name g24.co.uk that they supplied a proper real address.

Look at your invoice - I bet it doesn't show the VAT ? They provide a service and so VAT should be shown but it isn't. That's because they are tax evaders as well.

Such lovely people at G24 - scum and scammers. Ignore them. The "new" law makes no difference to the illegal invoice.

 Can you really have a "pile" of one letter in order to add the second to it? How many letters does it take to be called a "pile"?
    :)

    Hi SodG24,

I have received one of these notices today from G24, however it has a full address and VAT number - is this a sign they are becoming more legit and would pursue a case through?

No its sign the campaigns run by this board and Pepipoo are having an effect and making these scammers stick to the law.

But does it show the VAT itself ? No, it doesn't ( well it never used to ).

Even if it does it's still as unenforceable and as far as I'm aware G24 have never done court.

EVEN if they did try ( and they won't ) they'd lose.

Scammy, scummy liars - that's all G24 are. IGNORE !
