Thanks, but I think I prefer a system which can record on a digital recorder either a hard drive or SD card.

I have an idea what I want for now:
2 x wireless cameras (mains operated) either B&W or colour depending on price
1 x digital recorder and receiver

I cannot find a package with Argos that sells wireless and a digital unit.
I contacted GET who have recommended some small suppliers local to me although I have not heard of them before.

DAK if B&Q sell CCTV systems at their larger stores? They don’t have any online but I was sure they used to sell (??).

Any other suggestions/recommendations most welcome, but looks like I need a system as soon as, as I am starting to lose sleep past few days.
    thanks

They still do at the larger stores. B&Q in Slough has quite a selection so if you have one near its probably worth a trip to look at what they have before you commit to a system elsewhere.

i will do later this week. I know wickes them but they seemed pricey but have option of buying what one needs, but dont sell the digital recorders.

Are there any other high street/retail park shops that sell these inorder i can get an idea of specs and prices available on the market? i rather buy from a store rather than online in case i get the wrong equipment i can change it.

Not been into focus recently but i would be suprised if they didnt have something to offer.

Motion sensor, photos to your email, easy set up.
Remote viewing over the internet too if you need it.

will have a look at it but internet access to view images is not essential for what i need.
  • Ours are motion sensor ones - set off loads of times by SPIDERS - they love the LED's

try rubbing some WD40 on the front glass of your IR cameras - often helps...
