wi-fi connection

in Techie Stuff
Morning, just got a Gemini Joy tab, tried connecting to my existing talktalk wi-fi but no joy so far, put all details i have in for connection, password, ssid thingy too, tab just says authentication problem.
Any ideas as to the cure please, bloody high tech, sounds so simple when you read instructions!!

May be a common problem... Try connecting a different way... in settings select Wifi, and then select "ADD NETWORK". This should show a list of wifi networks, select your wifi network and enter the password there.
If that fails try WEP (yes, I know, not ideal, but its a start).0 -

If you haven't heard of WEP perhaps you'd better not try it (requires playing with the router). http://help.talktalk.co.uk/app/answers/detail/a_id/1403/~/about-wireless-security

Ensure you are using the correct case when typing the password.How do I add a signature?0 -

In your router settings do you have the SSID visible because Android won't connect if it's not0

My tablet wouldn't connect if my router was using a channel above 10 - check if yours is set to use a channel above 10 and change it in the router's wireless settings?0

Had to send Tablet back as the on/off switch failed after two days, shame as i quiet liked it, may get another soon.
Had to by a new laptop instead as the other one got a bit old and didnt enjoy the drink of beer i gave it!!!!!!!
