last share you sold?

there's a thread for the last share you bought, so ...

bellway. bought in 2000. very good return, but would have been better if sold in 2007.

carpetright. bought mostly in 1998. now sold half. ok return, but would have been much better in 2007.

p.s. it doesn't have to be shares you bought before this site existed :)

Sold Aggreko at £7.05 having bought at £1.99 :)
    But now its £20.97
I recall Aggreko were about the same price as BP at the time.
This was before the Macondo disaster, and BP looked more solid than Aggreko.
So I kept the BP and sold the Aggreko :o

  • Looks as though no one is selling then.

Or they don't want to admit to their losses!!!

My last equity holding was Barclays, sold at 217 but was glad to get out with a smallish profit after it had dipped to 160+ and I risked more averaging in at 174.

I had a spread bet on Dow futures but sold out when Dow was at 13,260. A bit peeved when it climbed up another 3+% but happier now it dropped recently

Glen, you still did extremely well to get 250% profit on your Aggreko shares, great result whatever happened after. Profit is always welcome.

Sold to put proceeds into ISA.

Sold BARC for around 320 late 2009, since then only bought IT's and ETF's with Vanguard Life Strategy 40 making the largest holding. I used to trade BARC when it went low and then sell around 340 but latterly direct equities have been too risky for me.

Imagination Technologies, bought at 55p and sold at just over six quid. Still sitting on loads.

Since then, I did sell some BAE Systems, but I rebought 25p lower within the 30 day period.
