As for those saying move the phone - this is why those who say take legal advice are correct (although the help i was looking for wasn't advice on moving phones) ... because the phone or the tag cannot be tampered with.

You dont need to tamper with the phone. Just get one of these.

ETA - while you obviously do not want to antagonise the police, I wouldnt tolerate them continually turning up at the door either. I think I would be becoming deaf to the door.......

Dangerous to ignore if he has a "doorstep" condition to his bail - it means he is required to show that he is there (present himself at the doorstep) at police or Serco/G4S request as long as it is within the curfew times set by the court.

Just noticed the username in the quotes doesn't match that in the forum thread. :)

I feel quite sorry for your Mum. Getting up in the early hours to answer her own phone (twice!), and then getting grief from her family for it?

Surely it's your brother's responsibility to read the pack and let everyone else know what needs doing? Why didn't he explain to your Mum how important it was to wake him up?

You brought up a month-old thread just to insult the OP?

I assume the OP has subsequently changed their username, which will show on their posts but not on quotes from before the change.

I seem to recall that old username having somewhat of a chequered history of posting. ;)
