Marbles frustrating my PPI claim - HELP!

Hi All
Please can anyone help.
Marbles (HBOS) are deliberately frustrating my attempts to reclaim my PPI (9 months).
1. I Called Marbles to tell them I wanted to reclaim my PPI. They were lovely and gave me two addresses to write to. One to the previous owner of the company (HSBC) and one to their PPI DEPT. This was to find out the total amount of PPI paid from 2003 - 2009.
2.HSBC never wrote back to me despite 2 letters. I understand that since my account is 'active' HBOS rather than HSBC are the only party authorised to provide me with information, hence HSBC keeping out of it.
3. Marbles told me today (on the phone) they have closed down the claim and I should see the Ombudsman. This is because HSBC have informed them they have no record since my claim stretches of 6 years. There are no records of my account (historical statements).
4. Marbles say they wrote to me three months ago to tell me this. I have not received this letter.
5. They have consistently given me advice which is against FSA rules, runs contrary to common sense and which infantilises their staff - it is as humiliating for them as it is for me.
6. I called the regular Marbles Credit Card Customer Services Dept. The lovely guy there gave me precise dates of the start date of my payments and the date I cancelled. He also said he could send me statements from 2003. He told me a company called STAGG provided the PPI for Marbles throughout and they would have the same info.
7. The first 5 statements are £5.00 and the remainder would be £5.00 each. That's a lot of money, since it's from 2003 - 2009. What do I do at this point. It's mad how these guys deal with serious legal issues. I'm pulling my hair out.
Can anyone offer me any help?

You havent actually given a reason as to why you think you are able to claim this PPI back.
You dont get it back just before you paid it.
I also think it may be something to do with PPI not being regulated before 2005. So I wouldnt hold your breath.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
As you have statements showing PPI from 03 and the account is still running, send copies of these to FOS and ask them to look at this for you.
Mis sells have been won with claims from the 90s with very little paperwork, Hbos clearly do not have a clue as you got the info you needed from one phone call, send the claim to FOS, good luck.0
