The cover on my HP laptop has become detached from the hinge. This is the second time this has happened. The machine in only 18 months old. Has anybody had this problem and is it worth me sending a complaint to HP?

If it's the second time this has happened in 18 months I would certainly complain to HP. I believe that if you can demonstrate that the item has an inherent fault that you can claim under the guarantee even after the standard 12 months have expired.0
