Indeed it has: Due to unprecedented demand, please note we have withdrawn our 120 Day Notice Tracker Account - Issue 1.

Savings accounts continue to drop like flies!

    Not again....

Applied for the Shawbrook Notice Account and despite receiving an email acknowledgment got a letter the following day stating that I shouldn't have been able to apply online and that I should download an application form and send it to them - only problem is the account no longer exists...

So today after a fair bit of research I applied for the Secure Trust Account. I completed the application online and have posted all the required docs / specimen signatures etc.

I'll be might peeved if they write back and say I'm too late....

I expect all account holders will have been sent letters but in case any get lost in the Christmas post please note that no further deposits will be accepted with effect from 17th February 2013.
(My letter dated 17th December states "we willl no longer accept deposits into your account with effect from two months from the date of this letter".)

Yes, I got my letter today too. I think most of us were expecting it after they withdrew the account to new applicants on their web site.

Just heard from the little sh*ts

    - now the BoE Base Rate is likely to start rising, they are closing the account altogether. This account was never going to be a tracker in my opinion.

There are a number of people with complaints at the FOS about the 183 day tracker account. Interesting they chose to close the account rather than reduce the rate.
