hi my wife has a credit card with a 4k limit but has 2200 debt on it, its with tesco bank. We are going to apply for a new card to transfer the balance but would like to know which would be best to apply for. She banks with HSBC. She has not missed any payments and currently only makes the minimum payments. Will tesco see this as a bad thing?
HSBC or Tesco??
any help would be great

normally you can't BT between two cards with the same bank0

If its on a Tesco card, you'll be able to transfer to HSBC, but there's better BT cards out there than HSBC's card. NatWest/RBS offer 0% for 22/23 months, as do Barclaycard, for instance. However, not sure if its still the case, but as Tesco Personal Finance used to be part owned by RBS, you couldn't transfer to RBS/NatWest from a TPF card, this may have changed now though. Barclaycard would be fine though.
EDIT: didn't realise HSBC offered 23 months interest free, that's a pretty good option actually!0 -
thanks for the replies, just got accepted with natwest0
