Bills sound a bit high...
Hi there,
I took on the lease of last October of my tiny 2 bedroom flat in an 18 month old new build (so efficient with double glazing, solar panels etc)
My electricity bill to date has come to a total of £480..
Is this a bit steep?
I am very careful with turning lights off, use only energy saving lightbulbs etc..
I am with First Utility, my partner says just to trust their meter readings supplied on the bill and that it must be correct but don't trust em, I have heard bad things about them and think I want to swap (who knows who with!)
I'm sure it's a bit high for a (careful) couple with child. Should I question it?
Thanks

Whoops that should read a year ago in October0

I would not trust any energy companies own meter reading more often than not they are only estimates, go and have a look at your meter yourself and submit the actual meter reading.0

you mean thats for an entire year? inc heating?
My friend pays £60 month in summer and £100 in winter inc storage heaters.
Without heating, but inc cooking, my 3 bed house costs £40 -£45 month on leccy.0 -
Estimates are normally a bit higher if I was you I'd do a meter reading to see if bills are correct. But I agree with previous post does seem a reasonable price to be paying .0
