Stag do planning help

Basically where to start; where is the best place to look for 2-3 day package holidays? we have approx 25-30 people to organise for & we would like everybody booked up at the same time.
We initially looked at just booking flights but it goes up exponentially the more people you add onto the flight.
Ok what we have set:
Place: Benidorm (never been but heard its a tacky sh!thole; perfect for a stag do)
Date: 26th April 2013 until either 28th or 29th April

If you travel separately on different airlines on different flights the fares won't rise exponentially.
I doubt a tour operator would give you a good price.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
Personally I'd go for the UK. With 25-30 people there are bound to be some who can't make it the full 3 days, some who won't have passports, some who can't make the flight times you arrange. There are lots of stag packages you can get in the UK including accomodation, activities etc. People can arrive when they want, not everyone is tied to the same times.
But if you want to go abroad, consider Eastern Europe, cheap flights, very cheap booze...but don't get too rowdy before the flight or they won't let you on;)0 -
Personally I'd go for Magaluf rather than Benidorm. For flights, book three times for ten people each and you should be ok. Or book ten yourself and get two friends to book the rest.
You can use holiday transfer companies to get from the airport to resort and back again. Magaluf is only 30 minutes from the airport
Prices in resort for food and drinks is relatively cheap compared to a lot of places in the Med these days
However be aware that either benidorm or magaluf are likely to be fairly quiet at the end of April
And as others have said I wouldn't use a travel agent for this amount of people for only 3 nights.0 -
You need to check the flight prices for the full amount of people, otherwise you could find yourself in the situation that you have booked 10 seats, and the next 10 seats will be approx £20 pp more, and again for the next lot.0

Benidorm over Magaluff in April/May imo
Jet2 and Easyjet can do you group bookings from Edinburgh or Glasgow to Alicante. just phone them
Ryanair will book 25 online in 1 go however the price increases in stages.
ie Fri 26/4 to Mon 29/4 Pres to ALC book 1 and the price is £126pp rtn book 25 and the price jumps up to £164pp (plus booking fees etc) so you need to book it in cheapest blocks.
If you budget highest price for all, then hey presto you have a beer kitty of prob a few hundred
Often the RTN flight is the same number of Euros as £££s ie 70 Euro or £70 pounds so it is better to book singles _ save 20%.
Theres nothing to stop you flying out with 1 airline + back with another and assuming you organise a bus 2 and from airport you could fly out of either Edin, Glas or Prestwick and back into either one depending whats cheapest.
The lazy option
Id be going along to a good decent independant TA with your research. let them get hotel/transfer commission if they can book you all at an average mid price for the flights ie £145 or there abouts
bear in mind you will need at least flight price up front.0 -

i have never tried to book for so many, but last year i wanted to price a 1 week package holiday for 12 with thomsons ( i priced the holiday online individually then went to travel agents), they referred it to their group bookings, we got offered a very good reduction.
i have been to magaluf/benidorm and also benalmadena costa del sol, have seen stags at all of them0 -
I go to Benidorm every April and it is far from quiet the weekends and even the week are busy. A lot of stag/hen partys are going in the week as the flights are cheaper. Off myself on the 21st April flights booked with easyjet on the day they came out from Manchester £67 return with 1 suitcase. Look at holidaynights travelrepublic or alpharooms for accommadation. The cheapest transfers are travel republic you can just book transfers with them at the moment when we are going in April the shuttle bus is £3.34 return each person. We normally pay around £170 each for flights hotel (full board) and transfers. Thats for 4 nights0

I went on a hen weekend in Benidorm Easter this year. We stayed at the Orange hotel which is right next to all the bars and clubs and had a great time. We could walk everywhere and it was so cheap to eat out and drink so I would say it's the best place to go.
Have a look at the trip advisor Benidorm forum, it is a great place to get uptodate info, it's a busy forum and I got alot of help on there.
