Hi, yes totally satisfied with amount calculated, have all my bills and have agreed that figure with them.
i complained then, they said they had investigated fully and found i was using that amount of gas, i queried again, when the next bill arrived, same reponse. the readings i took matched theirs everytime. how could i do anything more, i never let them estimate my bill always supplied my own reading.0 -

If that figure includes "compensation" or ex-gratia as suppliers prefer, and you have accepted it, you may have shot yourself in the foot.
If not, my tactics would be to claim the "cumulative excess" compounded monthly at 4% + BoE over the period, escalated through the complaints process and then to the Energy Ombudsman. (4% + BoE is the current SSE late payment charge).0 -
Agree with jalexa - A £1200 compensation payment for overcharges due to a Metric/Imperial meter mix-up over a 4 year period, seems to be a low amount unless that is the OP is a very low user
When this error happens the customer is overcharged by 181% - So working this back gives £663 as the correct billing cost of gas used over 4 years !
which equals £166 per annum for appx. 4150Kwh a year
Oddesey 10 - It seems you have all those bills going back 4 years, so do a quick bit of homework by dividing the total on each bill by 281, and then multilply the answer by 100 to get a cost of roughly what each bill should have been - then add up the difference between your new totals and the bill's totals to see how close you get to £12000 -
Hi there, I am a very low consumer, out 6 days a week at work, only use gas for heating and hot water + during 2 years of that time i worked in a hotel, doing very long shifts so had no real need of heating as at work or at home sleeping, used showers etc at work quite a lot, so the figures are correct i have double checked them and had my boss check them also.0
