First call the planning dept of Lambeth, & check to see if you are in a conservation area.
I know you've spoken to your freeholder, who might also be the council, but don't expect different departments to talk to eachother.
Then get the freeholder's permission in writing. And confirmation that if the freeholder at a later date decided to replace all the windows for the block, that a) yours will not be changed again, and b) you won't have to contribute to the cost of changing other people's windows in the block
Then ensure you have it in writing from the council that you can change your windows without planning permission.
Frame all those bits of paper. Scan and save copies too.
Once you've done that, get recommendations from neighbours who have already changed their windows.
Call various companies, get written quotes, & ensure they are Fensa registered,
When changed, make sure you get your Fensa certicate ( it will come by post later) frame it as before, & scan & copy.0 -
You not only need all the paperwork now, but will need to have it all when you sell in the future.0
