Hi,
Anyone have tesco building and contents insurance, and if so any good compared to other companies? I would like to hear from people who had applied online and now into the second year with them, is the second years prenium a lot more expensive? (without first years discounts)
thanks
Joe

Hi-
I had Tesco buildings + contents during the previous year, for 1 bed end-terrace in Berks. It was 145 quid (done online), but if I recall I got a 30 quid cashback voucher. I came to renew last month, the new quote was 156 quid, and I couldn't haggle them down at all, or price match. I switched to Halifax, quote was 115 quid, which included a 50%-off contents special offer. BTW I tend to up my excess a little to get a lower quote. Halifax are my lender also, might make sense for me to stick with them (?).
I don't know if either service is any 'good', haven't made any claims ;-)
I didn't think of using quidco etc, perhaps a saving can be made there too.0 -
Price wise it is competetive but cover is restricted in relation to other policies and customer service is poor in comparison to some. The product is sold on price really.0
